Obsidian Field
Near-black field with warm mineral flecks that catch low light. A quiet backdrop for brass and warm wood.

Palm Desert stone fabrication
Granite, quartz and quartzite for kitchens, baths, bar tops and hearths across the Coachella Valley. Our own saw, our own crew, our own schedule. Nothing gets handed to a third shop and lost for three weeks.
Materials
Three materials, done properly
We stayed narrow on purpose. Three surfaces we know cold beats a catalog of twenty we would have to look up. Here is the honest difference between them.
Natural stone, quarried in blocks and sawn into slabs. Every piece is different, which is the point. It takes heat, it takes traffic, and it wants sealing about once a year. If you want the counter to look like it came out of the ground, this is it.
Ground natural quartz bound in resin. Non-porous, so it never needs sealing and it shrugs off wine and citrus. The colour repeats slab to slab, which matters when a long run needs three pieces to look like one.
Sandstone that heat and pressure turned to stone. It gives you the movement people want from marble with hardness closer to granite. Harder to cut, which is exactly why having our own saw matters here.
Detail
The part most people forget to ask about
The edge profile changes how a kitchen feels more than almost any other decision, and it is usually decided in about four seconds at the end of a long appointment. These are the six we run. Take your time with it.
A barely softened square. The default, and the easiest to wipe clean.
A cut angle across the top arris. Crisp, and it catches downlights well.
Rounded top, flat bottom. Soft on forearms at a busy island.
A full radius, top to bottom. No arris at all, so nothing chips.
An S curve. The traditional pick when the kitchen leans formal.
Two pieces joined to build a thicker slab. This is where skill shows.
Drawn to scale at a standard three centimetre slab. A mitered edge builds a thicker apparent slab from two pieces, so the seam placement is what separates a good fabricator from a cheap one. Ask to see ours.
The shop
Why we bought the equipment
Before we had our own shop, a customer's timeline belonged to somebody else. We would template on a Monday, send the drawings out, and then spend two weeks answering questions we could not actually answer.
So we bought the equipment. Now the cutting, the edging, the polishing and the cutouts all happen under one roof in Palm Desert, by people whose names we know. When something needs a second look, it gets one that afternoon instead of next week.
It also means we can say yes to the harder work. Mitered waterfalls, book-matched veining across a seam, a hearth cut to match the counters it sits under. Those jobs need a fabricator who can stand at the saw and make a call.

Palette
House palette
Twelve surfaces that cover most of what walks through the door. Bring one to the appointment as a starting point and we will pull real slabs against it.

Near-black field with warm mineral flecks that catch low light. A quiet backdrop for brass and warm wood.

Deep coffee base broken by rust and cream crystal. Hides everyday kitchen traffic better than almost anything.

Bright white ground with black and grey crystal. The classic salt and pepper granite, and still the most forgiving.

Warm sand and amber with darker mineral drift. Pairs naturally with the gold hardware showing up in valley remodels.

Soft white with restrained grey movement. Consistent slab to slab, which matters when a long run needs several pieces.

Warm cream with a fine even grain. Quiet enough to sit under busy cabinetry without competing with it.
Notes
From recent jobs
They cut everything in their own shop and the edges came out clean. Scheduling was straightforward and the install crew did a nice job. Exactly what we needed for the kitchen remodel.
I need people who show up when they say they will. These guys have been consistent for me. The quality holds up and my clients notice.
We got rid of the old laminate and went with quartzite. They helped us pick the right slab and the finished product looks great. Would use them again.
Next step
We run by appointment so nobody gets squeezed between two other jobs. Call, or send the details and we will find a time.
